But as a show theory, we are on much firmer ground. The book-reader theory that Syrio is (a) not dead (b) a Faceless Man or (c) Jaqen H’ghar is largely based on wishful thinking. So I was just minding my own businesses watching a theory video about this when I noticed something. Syrio Forel of Braavos, and then later earns help from the Faceless Man. Revisit Syrio Forel as a faceless man/Jaqen H'ghar. But more significant than who is missing, is who isn’t. Mademoiselle Leverrier challenged the man who had jilted her to a pistol duel. Syrio Forel only appeared in three episodes of Game of Thrones Season 1, but his impact is still being felt years later thanks to the vengeful journey of his student, Arya Stark. If Syrio is a Faceless Man, it would kind of make a lot of sense, and if it turns out to be true that Waif is Syrio, I wouldnt be surprised.
